Differences Between The C100, C+100, and MB100

Are you wondering what the major differences are between some of our best selling easy to use portable pumps? Do not worry, we are going to make your decision easier by comparing the three for you! These three pumps are great for nano, micro, or smaller craft operations. All three pumps are sanitary centrifugal pumps with an external mechanical seal. The C100 is our base model, for a small upgrade we suggest the C+100. The Microbrew100 is our redesigned model which features several significant upgrades.
The design of the C100 and C+100 are fairly similar as the seals and impeller are interchangeable. The C+100 features a heavy duty casing and a thicker casing O-Ring for a better seal, as well as an improved shaft design. The C+100 has better shaft centricity when compared to the C100 due to the collar that clamps on the shaft instead of the standard set screws used on the C100. Currently, you can upgrade to a C+100 for the same price as the C100.
The MB 100 is a re-engineered C100 pump designed specifically for the tough environment of a brewery. The pump head is secured with a 4” casing clamp allowing a secure connection, as well as easy removal and adjustment. The MB100 comes with an external mechanical DG seal, which includes a silicon-carbide stationary seat that is harder and smoother than stainless steel so the seals last longer than the D style mechanical seal on the C100 and C+100. The silicon-carbide seat is replaceable and protects the backplate from wear and tear.
