The 13H Union Hex Nut is a sanitary fitting used to complete the bevel seat union between a Threaded Bevel Seat Ferrule and a Plain Bevel Seat Ferrule. A bevel seat connection is a classic connection style used in sanitary process lines for process equipment and piping that is secure without creating weakpoints. The hex nut is placed on the plain bevel seat ferrule before it is welded into place, securing it there. The hex nut is then rotated onto the threaded ferrule and tightened with a wrench to create a durable sanitary connection.
These fittings are constructed of 304 Stainless Steel, and are available in sizes ranging between 1" and 4".
