C216MD Pump With Explosion-Proof Motor

The C216MD Pump with Explosion-Proof Motor is a sanitary transfer pump designed for moving flammable liquids safely. It combines a C216 pump head with an explosion-proof motor. The explosion-proof motor makes the pump suitable for high-proof alcohol, ethanol, and other flammable liquids, and is ideal for distilling, producing alcohol-blended drinks, and herbal extraction. Beyond those uses, the C216 pump head is also a good match for medium-sized process applications in the dairy, food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.

The pump is paired with a cast iron, NEMA C-Face Premium Efficiency explosion-proof motor, UL/CSA approved for Class I, Groups C and D, and Class II, Groups E, F, and G (T3B). Seal Options:

• D Seal: Single mechanical external seal.

Available from 1-1/2 HP to 15 HP, this pump can be matched to a range of transfer applications. For 10 and 15 HP motors, please contact our sales team. The 1-1/2 HP and 2 HP motors are 1800 rpm. Pairing a larger pump with a slower 1800 rpm motor provides gentle flow at high volumes; perfect for shear-sensitive products.
